Fire dampers

Fire dampers

Fire dampers are used to prevent spread of fire and inflammable substances from a burnt duct piece to the next one by shutting off the air flow. The damper closes automatically when the temperature rises above 72OC. They are designed for operation in non-aggressive and non-explosive environment.

Fire dampers are equipped with two types of actuators:

• mechanical spring loaded trigger and a melting plate.

• electric spring loaded actuator and a fire alarm (switching) device.
